What a neat image — love to know more about it.

Love the eeriness of this photo. Why would he be walking towards that fog? It’s unnerving! 😀

  3. Interesting. My first impression, before reading the comments that addressed my own question, was that the person was on the way to work. I adore walking to work, especially walks where you really encounter no one. Contemplation and solitude. Some of the most enjoyable moments of the day… Nice work.

The man walking here is a bit odd. There is a street there but it leads to a dead end & there isn’t a house for miles so I couldn’t say why he’s walking there. The building in the background is a cabinet factory. http://www.panoramio.com/photo/77917312 Even stranger is that the dog was a Brittany Spaniel which is normally a hunting dog. I think was Jeni was correct in her thought of “Serendipity”. It’s one of the reasons why I love photography ~ I never know what I’ll see. I would love to just ramble through life with my camera to capture moments like these. 🙂

    very strong picture!

  6. The fog creates a special solitude, one of being disconnected and isolated, so diminished in our existence. Even if there were two people walking, the picture would express solitude nevertheless.

  7. There’s an ethereal feel to this… it makes the man look even more solitary!

As there hasn’t been a new WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge so far this week, perhaps you’d like to join in the Weekly Travel Theme http://wheresmybackpack.com/2012/09/28/travel-theme-foliage/ xxx Ailsa
